Stoneware Clay Bird Houses, clay hand building workshop @ The Ceramic Studio Etc

Come build this whimsical bird house with us! The finished piece is about 10″ tall. This project will use Stoneware clay and glaze. Stoneware is great for pieces that need to withstand weather, so this piece will be able to stay outside year round. We’re excited to be offering this higher quality clay choice. Specific glazes are used for stoneware and you’ll get to learn about the color choices at the workshop. Remember your hand building class includes a return visit to glaze your piece once it’s fired.

We anticipate this workshop will take 90 min to 2 hours. $10 ticket price holds your seat and you will pay the balance of the project price at the workshop. This piece could take as much as 2 1/2 lbs of clay for a total cost of $62.

This workshop is designed for age 16 and over, all experience levels welcome. Teens age 13-16 may also purchase a seat if attending with a paid adult.

Our clay glazing policy is as follows: projects created in Clay Workshop need to be glazed within 2 weeks of firing or they can pick up and save them to bring back in the next 90 days to glaze if they need more time. Projects older than 90 days can still be glazed and fired for a $10 fee. We may not be able to fire older projects in November and December.

Cancellation Policy: Tickets are non- refundable however with at least 48 hours advanced notice you can transfer your ticket to another workshop or event, not limited to Clay Hand building or use your ticket price in the studio for drop in painting or fusing, just bring your printed ticket with you. Unfortunately with less than 24 hours notice, materials have been prepped and we cannot credit or refund your ticket price.
