We’re thinking spring with these beautiful flowers! Participants will make one large clay flower up to 10″ in diameter and will use stoneware clay and glaze. You will have the option of designing it for a wall and add a wire hanger, or to attach to a garden stake either flat or upright.
Stoneware is dishwasher and microwave safe and great for pieces that need to withstand weather too. We’re excited to be offering this higher quality clay choice. Specific glazes are used for stoneware and you’ll get to learn all about them when you return to glaze. Remember your hand building class includes a return visit to glaze your piece once it’s fired, so it’s a 2 visit price!
We anticipate this workshop will take 90 min to 2 hours.
This workshop is designed for age 16 and over, all experience levels welcome. Teens age 13-16 may also purchase a seat if attending with a paid adult.
Our clay glazing policy is as follows: projects created in Clay Workshop need to be glazed within 2 weeks of firing or they can pick up and save them to bring back in the next 90 days to glaze if they need more time. Projects older than 90 days can still be glazed and fired for a $10 fee. We may not be able to fire older projects in November and December.
