Stoneware Beach Mugs! @ The Ceramic Studio Etc

Join us for an exciting new Stoneware glazing class where you’ll learn to transform a simple stoneware mug into a beachy masterpiece! No need to travel far for a beach getaway, dive into our glazing class and create your personalized beach-themed mug. Escape to the shores of creativity as we layer stoneware glazes to capture the serene beauty of the beach. With at least 5 different glaze combinations to choose from, you’ll have the freedom to express your unique coastal style. You’ll get to choose which mug shape you’d like to create at the class, mug purchase is not included in the ticket price, all mugs are $28 in addition to the $13 class fee, so additional purchase is required. You ticket price covers the Stoneware glazing fee. If you want to glaze a bowl or plate instead we will have those available too.

This class is perfect for beginners and seasoned artists alike. Our experienced instructor will guide you through the process, from selecting your glazes to layering techniques, we’ll ensure you glaze a stunning creation.

Stoneware is a durable clay body that is fired to a higher temperature and is dishwasher, oven and microwave safe, it’s great for kitchen pieces and anything that might withstand weather. The glazes used on Stoneware are incredible! Drippy and flowing, if you’re looking for a fun and fool proof way to glaze your new favorite mug this workshop is for you! We’ll be instructing on how to use our stoneware glazes and which colors work together best. You’ll have several of our tested color combinations to choose from and we’ll guide you through the process. No matter how alike pieces look before firing, each comes out unique and beautiful! pieces will be fired and ready for pick up within 10 days of the workshop. This class is for ages 13 and up.

Cancellation Policy: Tickets are non- refundable however with at least 24 hours advanced notice you can transfer your ticket to another workshop or event, not limited to Clay Hand building or use your ticket price in the studio for drop in painting or fusing, just bring your printed ticket with you. Unfortunately with less than 24 hours notice, materials have been prepped and we cannot credit or refund your ticket price.
