Stoneware Clay Butter Dish @ The Ceramic Studio Etc

Get ready for a creative adventure! In this workshop, you’ll craft a beautiful butter dish using Stoneware clay and glaze. Stoneware is not only dishwasher and microwave safe but also perfect for weather-resistant pieces—how cool is that? We’re thrilled to offer this premium-quality clay that will make your creation stand out. When you return to glaze your piece, you’ll learn all about the special glazes designed for stoneware. This is a 2-visit experience packed with fun and creativity!

Your $10 ticket holds your spot and goes toward your clay purchase. The butter dish will use about 2 lbs of stoneware clay, priced at $25 per pound. That means your stunning dish, complete with the return visit to glaze, is just $50 total.

We expect this workshop to take about 90 minutes to 2 hours—plenty of time to relax and enjoy the process.

This workshop is perfect for anyone aged 16 and up, whether you’re a total beginner or an experienced maker. Teens aged 13-16 can join the fun too if they’re attending with a paid adult.

Our clay glazing policy is simple: projects need to be glazed within 2 weeks of firing, but if you need more time, you can pick them up and return within 90 days to finish glazing. If your project is older than 90 days, you can still glaze and fire it for a $10 fee. Keep in mind, firing older projects may not be possible in November and December.
