Join us at The Ceramic Studio Etc for an exciting Stoneware Night where we will be showcasing a variety of techniques to elevate your pottery creations to the next level. We’ll be instructing the flower technique that we introduced during our first stoneware workshops and the crystal belt style that is great for mugs and tall items. We’ll also offer the peacock technique, a technique that has become a favorite of stoneware artists! Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced ceramic artist, this workshop promises to be a valuable and inspiring experience. The cost of the class is $13 which covers instruction on all techniques. You can choose from our available stoneware items the night of the event, we have lots of new pieces in the studio this month and have decided to switch up how we do stoneware night since we have such a wide variety now! You will pay for the piece you choose the night of the event, prices range from $15- $65. Most mugs are $27, serving pieces are $40 and up an we have some small bowls and a ramekin in the lower range as well.
Stoneware is a durable clay body that is fired to a higher temperature and is dishwasher, oven and microwave safe, it’s great for kitchen pieces and anything that might withstand weather. The glazes used on Stoneware are incredible! Drippy and flowing, if you’re looking for a fun and fool proof way to glaze your next serving piece or new favorite mug this workshop is for you! We’ll be instructing on how to use our stoneware glazes and which colors work together best. You’ll have a few of our tested color combinations to choose from and we’ll guide you through the process. No matter how alike pieces look before firing, each comes out unique and beautiful! pieces will be fired and ready for pick up within 10 days of the workshop. This class is for ages 13 and up.
