Join us at The Ceramic Studio Etc for an exciting afternoon glazing Stoneware! We will be showcasing a new design Charlotte just learned at a conference, a beautiful new way to do a floral pattern! We’ll also offer the peacock technique, our other flower pattern and the simple belted mugs. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced ceramic artist, this workshop promises to be a valuable and inspiring experience. The cost of the class is $13 which covers glaze, firing and instruction on all techniques. You can choose from our available stoneware items the day of the event, we have lots of new pieces in the studio, we have such a wide variety now! You will pay for the piece you choose the day of the event, prices range from $15- $65. Most mugs are $27, serving pieces are $40 and up an we have some small bowls and a ramekin in the lower range as well.
Stoneware is a durable clay body that is fired to a higher temperature and is dishwasher, oven and microwave safe, it’s great for kitchen pieces and anything that might withstand weather. The glazes used on Stoneware are incredible! Drippy and flowing, if you’re looking for a fun and fool proof way to glaze your next serving piece or new favorite mug this workshop is for you! We’ll be instructing on how to use our stoneware glazes and which colors work together best. You’ll have a few of our tested color combinations to choose from and we’ll guide you through the process. No matter how alike pieces look before firing, each comes out unique and beautiful! pieces will be fired and ready for pick up within 10 days of the workshop. This class is for ages 13 and up.
