Whimsical Clay House Workshop – A Playful Clay-Building Experience!

Let your imagination run wild in this fun and creative 2-hour class where you’ll handbuild your very own whimsical clay house! Whether you envision a charming birdhouse, a magical fairy cottage, or a cozy toad abode tucked beneath garden leaves, this class is all about bringing your unique vision to life in clay.

You’ll work with earthenware clay and explore basic handbuilding techniques to shape and decorate your piece. From rustic cottages to fantasy hideaways, there’s no wrong way to create your whimsical clay home. Add textures, sculpted accents, and personal flair as you go—we will guide you every step of the way.

💰 Cost: $45 (includes all materials, kiln firings & instruction)
✨ You may choose to create a larger piece for a small additional fee. To facilitate class prep, please indicate if you’d like to build a round or square home. We will allow you to change your mind but this will help the class start a little more smoothly.

🎨 Glazing: Return during open studio hours to glaze your piece in your favorite colors

This workshop is beginner-friendly and designed for ages 16 and up. Teens aged 13–15 are welcome with a paid adult. Your clay creation will be fired in our kiln and ready for glazing within 10 days. Return anytime during open studio to paint it with vibrant glazes.

Glazing Policy:
Projects should be glazed within 2 weeks of firing. Need more time? No problem—you can take your fired piece home and bring it back within 90 days to glaze. After 90 days, a $10 firing fee applies. Please note: due to kiln capacity, older pieces may not be fired in November or December.

Cancellation Policy:
All tickets are non-refundable. However, with at least 24 hours’ notice, you may transfer your ticket to another event or use the value for studio drop-in activities like painting or fusing (just bring your printed ticket).
