Join us for Story Time at the studio! We love having our youngest artists in to enjoy stories and be inspired to paint something fun! We’ll read 2 stories, paint an owl jar, and have a  snack! Just $15. We expect this experience to take about 1 hour. Projects will require firing and will be ready for pick up within 1 week. This experience is designed for children age 2 1/2-ish and up, younger siblings and strollers welcome. You only need to purchase a ticket for participating children, not for adults or younger non-participating siblings. Older siblings who might like to pick and paint from our shelves are also welcome, just pay for their pieces when you come. Limited to 18 story time participants, come join us for a morning full of creative fun!

Event Description:
Join us at The Ceramic Studio Etc for a day of creativity, flavor, and community! We're hosting a special event on October 15th where you can enjoy a Chili Cook-Off and express your artistic side by painting a bowl. It's a fantastic opportunity to have fun and enjoy some delicious chili.

Chili Cook-Off Details:
Participation: If you'd like to showcase your culinary skills and compete in the Chili Cook-Off, please call the studio in advance to be added to the participant list.

Prizes: We have fantastic prizes for the top two chili entries. The first-place winner will receive a $100 studio gift card, and the second-place winner will receive a $50 studio gift card. Bragging rights included!

Tasting: Everyone attending the event will have the opportunity to taste the various chili entries and vote for their favorites. Chili tasting ends at 4pm and we will tally votes and announce the winner before the end of the day.  

Paint-a-Bowl Details:
Discount: During the event, paint a bowl of your choice at our studio and receive a generous 20% discount on your entire purchase. It's the perfect time to unleash your inner artist.

Pottery Selection: We have a wide selection of pottery items to choose from, including bowls, plates, mugs, figurines, Halloween and Fall Decor and more. Let your creativity flow as you personalize your piece.

Event Logistics:
Seating: Seating for the Chili Cook-Off is available on a first-come, first-served basis. No need to purchase tickets – just come and enjoy the festivities.

Clay Workshop: Pumpkins!

One of our creative instructors will guide you through every step, no experience required. You'll have 2 lbs of clay to work with and we'll show you how to build  2 types of pumpkins, then you can choose what you'd like to make from our inspiration. We expect this workshop will take about 2 hours to complete. This project is appropriate for ages 16 and up, no previous clay experience is required. Teens age 13-16 may also purchase a seat if attending with a paid adult.

Your piece will be fired within 10 days of the workshop and your purchase includes an additional visit to glaze your piece.

Our clay glazing policy is as follows: projects created in Clay Workshop need to be glazed within 2 weeks of firing or they can pick up and save them to bring back in the next 90 days to glaze if they need more time. Projects older than 90 days can still be glazed and fired for a $10 fee. We may not be able to fire older projects in November and December.

Pizza Dinner & Dessert: Upon arrival, all young artists will be treated to a delicious pizza dinner, complete with Halloween-themed dessert treats that are sure to delight their taste buds. (Little Cesar's pizza will be served, if your child will not enjoy this you are welcome to send them with another option.  We will accommodate any food allergies for the dessert portion, please provide information during the ticketing process.

Pottery Painting: Kids will have the opportunity to choose a 4-6 inch ceramic figurine from our studio's diverse selection. They'll unleash their artistic talents to paint their chosen figurine with imaginative Halloween costumes and spooky designs.

Costume-Inspired Creativity: Encourage the kids to come dressed in their favorite Halloween costumes to add an extra layer of fun to the event. They can even use their own costumes as inspiration for their ceramic figurine designs.

Halloween Games: Time permitting, we'll organize entertaining Halloween games to keep the excitement going.
