Let's make a vase! We'll have a couple designs available to show you, so if you've never worked with clay before we will show you step by step how to create a piece like our samples. If you have some experience with clay or have attended another of our classes we'll give you the freedom to create a shape you'd like, just come with an idea in mind! This project will use Stoneware clay and glaze. Stoneware is dishwasher and microwave safe and great for pieces that need to withstand weather too. We’re excited to be offering this more durable clay body. This will be a small workshop with a single instructor so register early to ensure you get a spot!

We'll be showing a variety of techniques in this workshop, unlike our past events where we've done one technique at a time we're ready to take on more than one glazing technique at a time, so come join the fun!

One of our creative instructors will guide you through every step, no experience required. You'll have 2 lbs of clay to work with and we'll show you how to build 2 types of pumpkins, then you can choose what you'd like to make from our inspiration.We expect this workshop will take about 2 hours to complete. This project is appropriate for ages 16 and up, no previous clay experience is required. Teens age 13-16 may also purchase a seat if attending with a paid adult.

We'll be instructing the flower technique that we introduced during our first stoneware workshops and the crystal belt style that is great for mugs and tall items. For the first time we'll be trying out the peacock technique, a technique that has become a favorite of stoneware artists!
