Stoneware Afternoon!

Join us at The Ceramic Studio Etc for an exciting afternoon glazing Stoneware! We'll offer the peacock technique, our flower pattern and the simple belted mugs. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced ceramic artist, this workshop promises to be a valuable and inspiring experience. The cost of the class is $13 which covers glaze, firing and instruction on all techniques.  You can choose from our available stoneware items the day of the event, we have lots of new pieces in the studio, we have such a wide variety now!  You will pay for the piece you choose the day of the event, prices range from $15- $65. Most mugs are $27, serving pieces are $40 and up an we have some small bowls and a ramekin in the lower range as well.

“Daddy’s Grilling Plate” Handprint Workshop

Join us for a special event where families can create a personalized "Daddy's Grilling Plate"! This fun and memorable activity is perfect for kids and parents to collaborate on a unique gift for Father's Day.. Here's what to expect:
How It Works:
Choose a Design: Choose a Design: Upon arrival, families can browse our selection of design templates for the grilling plates. We will have a few different platters to choose from and they will be priced separately.  Your registration fee covers our custom painting and design service fee. Platter prices range from $35 to $50. 
Handprint Creation: Kids will dip their hands in non-toxic, washable glaze and press them onto the platter of their choosing. Our staff will be on hand to assist with this process to ensure perfect handprints every time.
Personalization: After creating the handprints, parents will provide us with the details for the plate personalization. This includes the child's name, a special message or date, our Grilling Plate silk screens, and any other custom text they'd like to add.
Final Touches: Our team will take care of all the final touches, including adding the custom text and ensuring the design is just right. We will text you pictures of your completed plate for approval before they are fired. The plates will be ready for pickup before Father's Day and we'll notify you as soon as they're done.

Mud Room Mondays!

Starting June 3rd, we will have Clay Handbuilding available as a drop in option on Mondays from 1pm-5pm! We’ll have a variety of project plans available if you need ideas, or you can create anything you like. We’ll have an instructor on site to assist you through the basics, but it is best if you have attended at least one of our Handbuilding classes in the past or have previous experience. Ages 10 and up please.

$20 for your first pound of Earthenware clay, additional clay available for purchase in half pound increments. Minimum $20 purchase for drop in clay. Left over clay cannot be saved or taken with you. Your purchase DOES NOT include glazing of your piece. Should you choose to glaze your piece there is a $5-10 per piece glazing/firing fee depending on the size of your piece.

Story Time at the Studio: Father’s Day Hand Print Mugs

Join us for Story Time at the studio! We love having our youngest artists in to enjoy stories and be inspired to paint something fun! We’ll read 2 stories, create a handprint mug for Father's Day gifting, and have a  snack! We will have a few different ideas of how you can personalize your handprint on the mug to your Dad's interests.  Possibly turn it into a fish or a tiny golf course, or a monster! Just $20. We expect this experience to take about 1 hour. Projects will require firing and will be ready for pick up within 1 week. This experience is designed for children age 2 1/2-ish and up, younger siblings and strollers welcome. You only need to purchase a ticket for participating children, not for adults or younger non-participating siblings. Older siblings who might like to pick and paint from our shelves are also welcome, just pay for their pieces when you come. Limited to 18 story time participants.

Summer Fused Glass Night Lights

Cost: $30 per night light
Duration: About 1 hour per night light

What You'll Create

Design your own summer-themed night light with options like floral and mushroom designs like the ones shown, or come up with something completely your own!  This is a great starter project for teens and adults wanting to try fusing for the first time! Teens are welcome to purchase a ticket and attend with a paying adult.  Teens 16 and older may attend on their own. 

Additional Options
Upgrade: Create a larger piece for an additional fee like a suncatcher, bowl or vase.  We will have all of our usual options available.  
Multiple Pieces: Make extra night lights for $30 each if time allows.
What to Expect
Introduction: Overview of fused glass techniques and safety.
Design: Select glass pieces and create your design.
Fusing: You will leave your completed piece with us to be fused in the kiln. Your piece will be ready for pick up within 10 days and will come with Nightlight hardware attached.
